Ganadores de los Premios Mostoleños 2025
The winners of this XII edition of the Mostoleños Awards are José Ramón Cantero, bronze medalist in adapted swimming at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games; Leo Millares, a famous tattoo artist who collaborates altruistically on social projects; Saturnino Montero, former president of the Agrarian Chamber of Móstoles; the Brotherhood of Our Lady of Solitude and Christ Lying Down, the oldest brotherhood in Móstoles; and Gregorio Márquez, owner of Mesón Gregorio.
Additionally, for the first time, a ex aequo award was presented to Sonia Wagner and Paloma Ruiz, scientists from the CIEN Foundation (Center for Research on Neurological Diseases).
During the event, the Mayor of Móstoles, Manuel Bautista, congratulated all the nominees for embodying values «so necessary» in society such as civility, respect, solidarity, peaceful coexistence, good neighborliness, and tolerance.
The awards will be presented at an institutional ceremony on May 2nd
The candidates received a diploma and an institutional gift during the event, which was attended by, in addition to the mayor, members of the jury, councilors from the Government team and the Corporation, and the rest of the nominees.
The awardees will receive the prize at the institutional event to be held on May 2nd.
MOSTOLEÑOS AWARDS 2025
José Ramón Cantero: is a bronze medalist in adapted swimming at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. At 31 years old, he has an impressive resume that includes his participation in the London 2012 and Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, as well as winning several medals in world and European championships.
Leo Millares: a tattoo artist for renowned footballers and singers, stands out for his altruistic commitment, collaborating with various local associations on projects aimed at improving the lives of people with various illnesses.
Saturnino Montero: throughout his life, he has been a key figure in the city, as president of the Agrarian Chamber of Móstoles, actively participating in the city’s social life.
Brotherhood of Our Lady of Solitude and Christ Lying Down: is the oldest in Móstoles. Founded in 1694 as the Brotherhood of Foreigners and re-founded in 1954. They participate in Holy Week, processing on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday.
Sonia Wagner and Paloma Ruiz: represent the scientific talent of Móstoles, fighting against Alzheimer’s and ALS from the CIEN Foundation, a leading research center in the scientific field.
Gregorio Márquez: his Mesón Gregorio, founded almost 60 years ago, is one of the main gastronomic references in Móstoles and the region.
