Mujer de 57 años herida grave en incendio en piso de Móstoles

A 57-year-old woman has been seriously injured, and three others have a mild condition, all due to smoke inhalation, as a result of a fire that took place on Thursday in a home in the Madrid town of Móstoles, according to Emergencies 112 of the Community of Madrid.

Teams from Summa 112 have taken both this woman, the neighbor of the floor where the fire broke out, a fourth floor, as well as three other people to the hospital, although they have attended a total of 30 patients after activating the Imv procedure (Incident of Multiple Victims).

Firefighters from the Community of Madrid have rescued this neighbor from the balcony as well as the rest of the people from the homes affected by the smoke and have extinguished the flames in the home where they originated, located on the fourth floor of an eight-story building, in an operation that involved up to nine units of the fire department.

The fire has affected almost the entire apartment where it occurred, apparently caused by a candle, although the National Police are investigating its causes. The smoke caused by the flames has affected the homes on upper and adjacent floors as well as the stairwell. The operation also involved officers from the Local Police of Móstoles.
