The Móstoles City Council has finally withdrawn from the contract for the alienation of the municipal plot of the Las Camelias residence after the municipal controller issued a new report that contradicts the validity of the process, leading to its suspension.
This concerns the process of alienation of the municipal plot where the Las Camelias Residence is located, in the El Soto neighborhood, which was built in 2005 under a concession contract that would end in 2055. However, the awardee, Mayorus S.L., had requested to stay in exchange for compensation.
The City Council then initiated a series of procedures to proceed with the valuation and define the price of the compensation that the company had to pay to keep the public land – and the building. This process sparked opposition from some residents and Más Madrid Móstoles, which submitted allegations.

Más Madrid insisted that the valuation for the sale of the residence land was «absurd,» as it was valued at «only 2.5 million euros,» which «could already be recovered simply by collecting the pending fee from now until 2055, also recovering the building and the land at the end of the period.»
However, from the beginning, the City Council maintained that the alienation file had «all legal and technical reports» and that the valuation report was «the result of the appraisal carried out by municipal technicians, based on current state and regional urban planning legislation.»
Consequently, the allegations from Más Madrid were rejected, and the local Government Board approved on April 15 the alienation of the plot where the Las Camelias residence is located, emphasizing that it «had all favorable reports from municipal services and no explicit opposition from the municipal controller.»
However, on May 28, 2025, the municipal controller issued a new report that «contradicts and discredits the validity of the municipal reports that validated the alienation of the plot,» leading to the halt of the alienation of the Las Camelias residence plot.
