Talks, workshops, training sessions, and informational sessions are part of the more than 40 activities scheduled for the XIV Municipal Health Week that will take place from April 7 to 11 in Móstoles under the motto ‘Take care of yourself, you deserve it’.

«Once again, we are launching it with the aim of highlighting the importance of taking care of our health and promoting healthy lifestyle habits that help us live better,» said the mayor, Manuel Bautista.

Over five days, health topics, both physical and mental, will be addressed from various perspectives and in a theoretical and practical manner.

«Health is one of the fundamental pillars of our life, and in Móstoles, we are committed to creating spaces for information and reflection that help us take care of ourselves and our loved ones,» added the mayor.

The events kick off on Monday, April 7, at 10 a.m. with a theater workshop organized by the Parkinson Association of Móstoles and a ‘Relaxation Techniques’ workshop starting at 11 a.m. by the Mostoleña Association of Spondylitis and Arthritis (AMDEA).

The rest of the day will feature tips and easy exercises to improve posture and a talk-workshop on ‘Stress Management in Interpersonal Relationships, Boundaries, and Assertiveness’, as well as a panel discussion on ‘Assessing the Risk Factors of Diabetic Foot’.

In the following days, topics such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), the health implications of alcohol, oral health in the elderly, physical activity for active and healthy aging, dance as a healthy activity, Therapeutic Pilates, and prevention of hearing loss will be discussed.

This year, around twenty healthcare organizations are collaborating, including the Alzheimer’s Relatives Association (AFAMSO), Association for Promoting and Protecting the Quality of Life of People with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ProTGD), and Omega Point Association.

Registrations for activities that require it, unless specified by the hosting entity, will take place at the Juan XXIII Senior Center located at Calle Juan XXIII, No. 6, ground floor.

The registration period will be from March 31 to April 3, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
