The Mieb (Móstoles Impact Entrepreneurship Booster) program, promoted by the Móstoles City Council, kicks off its second edition with the aim of supporting innovative startups in early stages.
Interested? Álvaro Hita, its director, explained everything you need to know if you are thinking of registering. The initiative is aimed at emerging companies in pre-seed and seed stages, with a minimum viable product or first sales. And it is not exclusive to local startups: the call is open to projects from all over Spain.
This year, Mieb focuses on three new strategic sectors: energy, logistics, and mobility. In each one, three startups will receive direct support from established SMEs in Móstoles acting as mentors. The goal: collaborate, open markets, and even explore avenues for joint investment.
Sustainability, positive impact, and certification as an emerging company by ENISA are particularly valued aspects. In addition, the registration process is agile and with few formalities, something that, according to Álvaro Hita, they have wanted to take care of «because we also come from the entrepreneurial world.»
The selected startups will enjoy practical training, provided by other entrepreneurs, and business support from within the Móstoles ecosystem. In addition, an active and lasting community is promoted among participating projects and companies.
The first edition of the program already yielded tangible results: 100 registered startups and productive improvements thanks to applied technologies, up to distribution agreements and even new business lines.
The deadline for registration ends on July 24 and all the information is available at www.mieb.es.
