The artist from Alcoy, María José Perales Micó, arrives in Móstoles with her photographic exhibition «Huellas», organized by the Móstoles City Council through the Department of Culture, Development and Tourist Promotion, which can be visited from today, March 5, until April 16 in the temporary exhibition hall of the City Museum.
After the long «Last Journey of Celluloid» that toured spaces such as the Matadero de Madrid, the Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences of Spain, the Complutense University or the North-University Sociocultural Center of Móstoles, María José Perales Micó returns, this time, with a set of images captured from 2012 to 2023 in the area known as the «border zone», located between Extremadura and Portugal, where one of the largest concentrations of dolmens in all of Europe is located.
This time, using infrared chemical film, she explores a part of perception that goes unnoticed, capturing the invisible and highlighting the memory of life that occurred.
Through the objects, landscapes, and elements portrayed, she reveals the imprint that was forever marked, like an eternal shadow that reminds us of what was, shows us what is, and hints at what will be. La artista alcoyana María José Perales Micó llega a Móstoles con su exposición fotográfica «Huellas», organizada por el Ayuntamiento de Móstoles a través de la Concejalía de Cultura, Desarrollo y Promoción Turística, que se podrá visitar desde hoy 5 de marzo y hasta el 16 de abril en la sala de exposiciones temporales del Museo de la Ciudad.
Tras el largo «Último viaje del celuloide» que recorrió espacios como el Matadero de Madrid, la Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas de España, la Universidad Complutense o el Centro Sociocultural Norte-Universidad de Móstoles, María José Perales Micó regresa, en esta ocasión, con un conjunto de imágenes captadas del 2012 hasta el 2023 en la conocida como «zona rayana», situada entre Extremadura y Portugal, donde se encuentra una de las mayores concentraciones de dólmenes de toda Europa.
Esta vez, haciendo uso de película química infrarroja, explora una parte de la percepción que nos pasa inadvertida, captando lo invisible y poniendo de manifiesto la memoria de la vida que aconteció.
