Hasta el 5 de marzo está abierto el plazo para solicitar la reducción en la tasa de gestión de residuos en Móstoles, impuesta por el Gobierno de España. La Ordenanza Fiscal contempla una reducción del 50% para los vecinos inscritos en el Programa Móstoles Composta, del 90% para personas en riesgo de exclusión social y del 15% para familias numerosas.
Los solicitantes del Programa Móstoles Composta deben presentar una declaración con un informe favorable de la Concejalía de Seguridad, Emergencias y Medio Ambiente que certifique su inscripción en el programa.
Para la reducción por exclusión social, se requiere ser beneficiario del ingreso mínimo vital o de la Renta Mínima de Inserción de la Comunidad de Madrid, acompañando la solicitud con la documentación correspondiente.
Las familias numerosas deben presentar el certificado vigente de familia numerosa, copia del DNI del titular del recibo y certificado de empadronamiento que acredite su residencia en el municipio.
Las solicitudes de reducción, con los documentos justificativos, se pueden presentar de forma presencial en varias oficinas municipales o de manera telemática a través del Registro Electrónico.
La Ley de residuos y suelos contaminados para una economía circular obliga al Ayuntamiento de Móstoles a imponer un impuesto para cubrir los costos de gestión de residuos sólidos urbanos.
El alcalde de Móstoles, Manuel Bautista, asegura que, a pesar de la nueva tasa impuesta por el Gobierno de España, se han implementado reducciones en otros impuestos municipales.

In the case of large families applying for the 15% reduction, applicants must submit a certificate or certified copy of the valid large family title issued by the Autonomous Community of Madrid, a photocopy of the ID of the person named on the receipt, and the certificate/residence registration document proving their residency in the municipality.
For the purposes of granting the reductions, a habitual residence will be understood as a residential urban unit exclusively intended to meet the permanent housing needs of the individual and their family.
In cases where the owner has passed on the fee to the tenant of the property, and as long as the tenant meets the conditions for any of the reductions, they may benefit from it upon joint request from the owner and the tenant, providing documentary evidence of such passing on.
Applications for reductions, accompanied by documents justifying compliance with the requirements for their granting, can be submitted in person at the Registry Offices located in the Town Hall, District Councils, the Neighborhood Assistance Office, and the Taxpayer Assistance Office. Additionally, they can be submitted electronically through the Electronic Registry of the Móstoles City Council or the General Electronic Registry of Public Administrations.
The Law 7/2022, of April 8, on waste and contaminated land for a circular economy, requires the Móstoles City Council, like other local administrations, to impose a tax this year to cover the cost generated by the management and treatment of solid urban waste.
