Unanimously, it has been agreed to install two «stolpersteine» cobblestones in memory of two residents of Móstoles who were killed in the Mauthausen concentration camp.
In the regular May session, motions were also approved to urge the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility to address the continuous incidents and breakdowns on the C-5 Cercanías line, and to create a municipal oral health service for vulnerable individuals.
The City Council, in its May regular session, has demanded urgently that the Spanish Government, through the Ministry of Finance, modify the spending rule so that public administrations can invest their surplus funds from their own management. It is believed that, with the economic situation stabilized, measures like this are no longer necessary, as they imply a lack of financial autonomy.
The motion, proposed by the Popular Group, also includes urging the Ministry of Finance to fulfill its commitment to increase by 13.1% the State tax revenue transfers to local entities.
Additionally, the Council has approved urging the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility to address the ongoing issues on the C-5 Cercanías line.
The motion presented by the Popular Group also calls for expediting the renovation and adaptation works at the Móstoles-El Soto station to make it accessible for people with reduced mobility and families with strollers. It also requests the R5 to be free from Móstoles to minimize the traffic impact of the A-5 underground works.
By unanimous decision, proposed by Más Madrid Móstoles, the installation of two «stolpersteine» cobblestones in memory of Gabriel Lorente Campallo and Teodoro Gómez Martín, Móstoles residents murdered in the Mauthausen concentration camp, has been approved.
The cobblestones will be installed at the beginning of Calle Sitio de Zaragoza No. 10, where Gabriel Lorente Campallo lived, and at the beginning of Calle Daoiz No. 17, where Teodoro Gómez Martín lived.
The motion presented by the Mixed Group regarding the creation of a municipal oral health service for vulnerable individuals has also been approved.
