El Ayuntamiento de Móstoles, a través de la Concejalía de Movilidad, Transportes y Consumo, ha detectado llamadas telefónicas a vecinos por parte de falsos representantes de compañías eléctricas o de gas haciendo ofertas comerciales que supuestamente mejoran las condiciones económicas hasta ese momento contratadas.
Estas llamadas se realizan desde empresas que en ocasiones ni siquiera aparecen en el listado de comercializadoras de la Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia y cuyo fin es obtener un beneficio económico.
Estos intentos de engaño buscan acceder a datos personales, cuentas bancarias o bien aprovecharse de los consumidores mediante ofertas falsas y servicios inexistentes.
En el caso de recibir ese tipo de llamadas, se recomienda proteger los datos personales y bancarios, adoptando las siguientes medidas:
- Finalizar la conversación lo antes posible sin responder nunca con un «Sí» ni facilitar datos personales.
- Llamar a su compañía para que le informen si están realizando una campaña que haya motivado la llamada.
- Si tras la llamada recibe algún correo electrónico de bienvenida o con enlaces para firmar, analice los datos que aparecen. Si aparece algún nombre comercial o de alguna sociedad puede cotejar si consta en la lista de comercializadoras autorizadas de gas y electricidad de la Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia.
- Nunca acceda a ninguno de los enlaces adjuntos, ya que podría tratarse de un intento de acceder a su aplicación de banca en línea.
- Esté pendiente de su cuenta por si aparece algún cargo no deseado derivado de la llamada telefónica y dé orden de devolución en su banco.
- Ponga una reclamación en Consumo porque devolver los recibos puede no ser suficiente para solucionar el problema.

- Never click on any attached links, as it could be an attempt to access your online banking application.
- Monitor your account for any unwanted charges resulting from the phone call and request a refund from your bank.
- File a complaint with Consumer Affairs because returning the payments may not be enough to solve the problem.
