During these Carnival days, children, families, and older residents of Móstoles have been able to enjoy the 2025 Grand Parade, the XXVI edition of the Carnival Group Contest, the Children’s Carnival Group Contest, the performance of Street Carnival Groups, the «Cocoloco Family Carnival Party» dance, the «Tour Babyradio» show, and the Special Carnival Elderly Dance.
Thousands of people of all ages in Móstoles didn’t want to miss out on celebrating these Carnival days with many novelties, with the highlight being the 2025 Grand Parade.
More than 4,600 people from 48 entities in Móstoles paraded through the city streets to the rhythm of the «Banda La Estrella» Musical Association and 40 bands. For the first time, the route included a «Blue Section», a sound-free area for people with auditory hypersensitivity. Additionally, as usual, an elevated platform was set up in front of the Dos de Mayo shopping center to improve visibility for people with reduced mobility.
The groups ended their route at Plaza del Pradillo, where the proclamation and the «Cocoloco Family Carnival Party» dance took place, a musical show for the whole family with performances, gifts, and lots of confetti.
The XXVI edition of the Carnival Group Contest, presented by Pepe El Caja, was another highlight of this extensive Carnival program. Additionally, the children’s contest, with a record number of participants, was held where groups showcased their musical talent with humor-filled lyrics.
As a novelty, a large screen was set up in Plaza de la Cultura so that people in Móstoles could follow the live broadcast of both contests without missing any details.
And for the second year, the Street Carnival Groups took to the streets of Móstoles to share their performances with all the residents.
This year, the Móstoles City Council, through the Department of Education and Festivities, designed an extensive Carnival program so that children, families, and the elderly, regardless of age, could experience a complete and fun Carnival in the city.
For the little ones, Raúl Charlo arrived at Plaza del Pradillo with his show «Tour Babyradio», where he was accompanied by Pocoyo, Mon the Dragon, Lupito the Bunny, and the Super Wings.
Meanwhile, the elderly have been able to enjoy a fun Special Carnival Dance, complete with costumes and a great atmosphere.
Rain prevented Móstoles from celebrating the burial of the sardine after a decade. This symbolic act was supposed to involve a funeral procession parade through the city accompanied by Móstoles entities and end at Parque Cuartel Huerta with the proclamation and the burning of sardines.
